a lovely historical novel about a girl coming to court thru sir robert dudley as being his vassal. the girl hannah, dressed as a boy, has the gift of seeing into the future. then being assigned to become the queen's fool, to mary the first. being pushed around as a spy for different people in a politically difficult time. moving between mary I and elizabeth I is not easy for her, since she has feelings of friendship for both women. the girl has an origin that she has to hide.

a great book. learning history and enjoying oneself in the same time.

anne rule, crime writer, describes the story of a doctor who killed a patient because of negligence and who tires to kill his wife by poisoning her with arsenic.

very good, detailed description of the life and crimes of this guy.

'the echo maker' by richard powers

a sister takes care of her brother after a car accident. he does not recognise her. trying to get two lives back on the road. what is the scientific reason behind the problem of not being able to recognise people close to yourself.

a tremendous story of fighting to get someone to get to recognise your existence in their lifetime.
