a lovely historical novel about a girl coming to court thru sir robert dudley as being his vassal. the girl hannah, dressed as a boy, has the gift of seeing into the future. then being assigned to become the queen's fool, to mary the first. being pushed around as a spy for different people in a politically difficult time. moving between mary I and elizabeth I is not easy for her, since she has feelings of friendship for both women. the girl has an origin that she has to hide.
a great book. learning history and enjoying oneself in the same time.
